These special penknives are handled with the hardwearing rosewood, Cocobolo. They are shaped, then buffed and are smooth to the touch and buttery in the hand. A friction folding blade is forged using a traditional Japanese technique - the repeated heating, folding and hammering of 3 different steels - providing not only the greatest of strength and durability, but also the beautiful swirling patterns of the 3 steels merging together as one, throughout the blade.
